Membership Categories

The following membership categories apply for the
2009 Toronto Polo Club season;

GOLD MEMBERSHIP – $5200/ year

Gold members are able to play an unlimited number of chukkers at club practices, and can play in 6-chukker games and tournaments.

SILVER MEMBERSHIP - $3200/ year

Silver members are able to play up to 4 chukkers at club practices, and can play in 4-chukker games and tournaments.

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP - $1000/ year

Juniors members are between 16 and 24 years of age as of January 1.

BANTAM MEMBERSHIP - $500/ year

Bantam members are 15 years and under as of January 1.

SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP - $150/ year

Social members are non-playing members. They receive the weekly club newsletter and are on the club mailing list to receive the annual club magazine. Social members are invited to all club social events.

CLUB INITIATION FEE FOR NEW MEMBERS - $2000

The club initiation fee applies to all new members of the Toronto Polo Club. This one-time fee must be paid on top of the regular membership dues.

* All Toronto Polo Club Memberships include an annual membership to the Canadian Polo Association.

New Members

Polo Players who would like to apply for active (playing) membership at the Toronto Polo Club must fill out an application for new membership form, accompanied by three confidential reference forms. The application will be reviewed by the New Membership Committee, along with the applicant’s polo playing skills. The New Membership Committee will then present the application to the Toronto Polo Club Board of Directors. Membership acceptance is the decision of the Toronto Polo Club Board of Directors.

Existing Members

Existing members of the Toronto Polo Club must fill out a membership renewal application form. Membership dues must be paid by January 31, 2009 or a $100 late charge will apply.

Year End Achievement Awards

2009 ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

on Tuesday October 27 at the Annual General Meeting of the members the 2009 year end achievement awards were handed out.  Members voted online for who they thought most deserving.  Congratulations to the following award recipients;

  • ROOKIE OF THE YEAR - Lawrence Hyland
  • MOST IMPROVED BANTAM PLAYER - Maggie Massalin
  • MOST IMPROVED JUNIOR PLAYER - Brendon Stenzel
  • MOST IMPROVED ADULT PLAYER - Andrew Rivkin
  • MOST SPORTSMANLIKE PLAYER - Tim Houlton
  • MEMBER OF THE YEAR - David Wayne

2008 ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

On Saturday September 13 at Bancroft Farm the 2008 achievement awards were handed out to well deserving members.

Rookie of the Year - Peter Kirby

Most Improved Bantam Member (under 16 yrs) - Maggie Massalin

Most improved Junior Member (16 + years) - Robbie Egan

Most Improved adult Member - Heidi Harris

Most Sportsmanlike Member - Tim Houlton

Member of the Year - (tie) David Wayne & Evan White Jr.
